- 20 brussels sprouts
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
- 6 tbsp butter
- salt and pepper to taste
- fresh shaved parmesan for garnish if desired
Preheat oven to 400° and line a baking sheet with foil or a nonstick silicone mat.
Rinse the Brussels sprouts and pat dry. Cut the root end off of each sprout and then cut length wise. Pour onto baking sheet and drizzle the olive oil, maple syrup, salt and pepper over the top. Give them a good stir to fully coat with everything. Then turn each sprout cut side down on the pan, making sure there is sauce under each one. Scatter the 6 tbsp of butter over the top and roast in the oven for 20-25 minutes until the cut sides are starting to brown and the tops of the sprouts are browning. Remove from oven, top with a little parmesan if desired and serve. Enjoy!
