Yep, you heard that right. These are real mummy eyeballs made of only 5 ingredients. These would be absolutely perfect for a Halloween party, for a kids party, for school snacks (if you live in the free country still where you don’t have to worry about everything your kid brings to school.) Side note: I’m dreading the day I get asked to bake something for my kids school function. There will be so many restrictions! No gluten, no dairy, no peanuts, no soy. Just let me bring something yummy, homemade and organic and we’ll call it a day. Okay? haha Anyways, not even a problem for me yet. Just anticipating it!
These Mummy Eyeballs are the easiest and are kid approved! (Thanks Wiseman’s for testing them out for me!)
Mummy Eyeballs
Ingredients
Ingredients:
- 1 package regular Oreo's
- 1 package cream cheese
- 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 packages white chocolate chips
- 2 tsp coconut oil
- Eyeball decorative candy I got mine at Target
Instructions
Directions:
- In a food processor, pulse the Oreo's until finely ground. Add in the cream cheese and vanilla. Pulse until all combined and you can't see the cream cheese anymore.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Using a spoon, scoop out Oreo mixture and roll into balls. Place on parchment paper. Put in freezer right until you roll them in the melted chocolate.
- Using the double boiler method, take a medium saucepan and add 1 inch of water. Put a heat safe bowl on top of the pot with water. Turn the heat on medium. Add in 1 bag of the chocolate chips with 1 teaspoon coconut oil, stirring occasionally. Once melted and smooth, roll the Oreo balls in the chocolate. Place back on parchment paper and let cool.
- Repeat the chocolate melting process with the second bag of chocolate chips and the remaining coconut oil. Once smooth, pour the chocolate into a piping bag or ziplock bag and let cool for a couple minutes. Then, cut a small tip off of the corner of the bag. Drizzle the white chocolate over the coated Oreo's creating the mummy look. Top with the eyeball decorative candies! Place back in freezer for 10 minutes.
There you have it! Super easy and these little babies taste sorta like a white chocolate cheesecake truffle. Which, hello, sounds incredible. Right?
