Classic Apple Crisp

Hello my loves,

And hello all of the Thanksgiving prep! Who else is hosting this year? We always host a Friendsgiving but this is our first year hosting actual Thanksgiving. Honestly, I am so excited for it! It’s no secret that I love hosting so it should be a good time. It might sound silly, but hosting holidays has been a dream of mine since I was a teenager. I have always loved the idea of having my family come stay at my house, waking them up with yummy breakfast casseroles and treats and getting on with the festivities. When the day comes that we host Christmas, boy oh boy will I be elated. For now, I’m going to enjoy this Thanksgiving. 🙂

Which brings me, to this apple crisp. There is something about a classic apple crisp that is nostalgic. It brings me back to my childhood in a way I can’t quite explain. The warm spiced apples underneath of a buttery, crunchy oat crust with a big scoop of vanilla bean ice cream that melts a little transports me back to my grandma’s kitchen in the summers. I love it. ♥️
