Hello loves,
As I’m sure you’re aware, it can be tricky to find bikinis that fit well in all the right places. There are so many different body types too so finding one that makes you feel like a Victoria’s Secret model is even harder. I am a return queen. I order almost everything online and if something doesn’t fit well, I return it without hesitating. I used to be a little more forgiving with the fit of items. Like, “Who cares if it’s not as tight here as it should be, it’s really cute!” No. Not anymore! Now that I’m investing a little more money and attention to the “quality over quantity” rule I’ve set for myself, I return things all the time. Here are some bikini’s and loose “rules” for what looks good on each body type! I’ve linked some examples for you to look through below each type. xx
For a flat chest: When there’s not much there on top, avoid bikinis that have underwire or any formed cups. That’s going to cause gaping in the cups which is not what we want. Instead, traditional triangle tops and bandeau tops work very well!
For a fuller tummy that you want to conceal: Try to avoid low rise bottoms and string bikinis. Instead, go for high waisted bottoms with medium-full coverage on the booty. Or if one pieces are more your thing, look for swimsuits that are gathered around the waist or a wrap style. Both of which are having a serious fashion moment!
For long torsos: Ugh. This is me. haha But it’s all good because the swimwear gods have blessed us with lots of options! If you want to help balance your body out, avoid low rise bikini bottoms! The best thing you can do is look for swimwear that’s either high waisted or has a high leg cut.
