Hello darlings,
I don’t know about you, but I am definitely a purse kind of gal. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I believe in investing in quality pieces. Not everything has to be top shelf, quality designers. However, in my mind buying a ‘”trendy” piece that’s designer makes no sense. Why would I pay $1000+ for a piece that’s trending at the moment? I’d rather splurge on pieces that are classic rather than trendy.
Take the white boot trend for example. Last fall, everyone started wearing the white boots because it was in. If I like something, I’ll wear it whenever I damn well please. The white boots however, were not something I was crazy about. I figured I’d at least buy a pair to experiment with. So, instead of spending hundreds of dollars on a quality pair of white, leather boots, I took my butt to Forever 21 and bought a pair for $21. Cheap, I know. I’m usually not an advocate for cheap shoes. I think it’s a terrible idea, in fact! This one I could stand by because I knew I wouldn’t wear them a lot and it was purely for experimentation. Now, ask me how many times I’ve worn them…Answer: ZERO. At least I didn’t waste money. 😀
Back to purses. The straw bag trend is huge right now and yes, I’ve already bought two. hehe I figured even though the trend will pass, they will always be good for warm vacations. There’s something that screams “tropical” about them. They will definitely be going with me to Miami, Amalfi Coast and Tulum. Here are my favorites!
