slip dresses and how to style them 

Hello darlings!

And hello spring!! It is such a good feeling to have sunshine and warm temps again. I know, I live in LA. “It’s always sunny in LA.” That has some truth to it but we’ve had a chilly chilly winter here and lots of rain. So, sunshine and 75 degree temps make me happy 🙂

Anyways, let’s talk slip dresses! I wouldn’t consider this a “trend” because it really is a closet staple that can be played with and styled in so many ways! I’ve recently added a bunch to my wardrobe and they are amazing for doubling as a skirt. Below you’ll find 3 different style suggestions so you can see what I mean…

 

 

The first way is how I styled it here. A slip dress with a white button down tied at the waist, some cool-girl sneakers and some fun accessories.

Another way to style the same slip dress, is to layer a sweatshirt over the top and add a sparkle belt for a grungy/refined look.

Another style suggestion would be to layer a tee over the top of it and tie it in a knot in the front.

There are so many ways to style it! And of course, you can just wear it by itself with a fun neck scarf and/or layered necklaces! Don’t be afraid to experiment with layering. A denim jacket, a leather jacket, a patterned kimono on top tied at the waist…etc etc. Belts can really complete an outfit, too. I’ve been growing my belt collection over the past year or so.
