Hello loves,
*sigh*…. finally! Travel is back baby and I couldn’t be happier. Hubby and I are en route to Mexico as I type this! Our resort is supposed to be absolutely gorgeous. Will share more details on where we stayed afterwards… safety is important. 😘
Anyways, I thought sharing outfit ideas for a tropical vacation could be helpful to you because I know so many people that are hopping back on the travel train this year. I’m sharing some bikinis that will make you feel snatched and only chic resort wear that won’t drain your bank account. Gasoline is already doing that.
If you’re like me, you have expensive taste. If you’re also like me you have a partner that is onto your purchases like white on rice. So, let’s find a balance shall we? For vacations I can justify splurging on one item, most likely a good dress for dinner, keeping the price under $300. The rest of my pieces will be well under $100. I actually did a fun video you can see here of Amazon crochet/coverup dupes that are all under $30 because I was not about to drop $200 on a crochet skirt that my grandma could have 100% made for me had I given her notice. You feel me?
Outfit Ideas For a Tropical Vacation
Clothing and Shoes
Swim and Cover-ups
When packing for a tropical vacation, I usually bring a swimsuit for each day. Sometimes you go swimming twice in a day and you don’t want to put on a freezing cold, half-dried swimsuit. Option are always good plus they take essentially no space in your suitcase. Dresses are an easy thing to throw on and go. They can double as a coverup and can be dressed for a dinner on the sand. I usually pack a pair or two of shorts, at least one denim pair and a skirt. Then some different crop tops to go with those. Shoes will always be sandals and a nude heeled option that goes with everything from day to night. For this trip I got these adorable heels that are true to size and comfy. I love a low heel. Means I can wear them all day and night and still feel comfy and glam!
Do you have any vacations planned for this year? This Mexico trip is our only one on the books but reeeaaalllyyy hoping to make it to a friend’s wedding in Chile in November. I might be super pregnant by then so we’ll see. I’m also dreaming of a European Summer vacation but let’s be honest, who isn’t? Paris and Cannes are calling me. And Seville and Florence… hmm I think I’ll need like a month to do all this. A week in each place? I think this year that will remain in my dreams lol
