Hello beauties!
I’m sure you’re aware that 2-piece suits are a major trend right now. We are seeing them all over the runways and in every magazine, blog and on every fashionistas instagram profile. There are a lot of good options out there at every price point! Sure, if we close our eyes and think of where to buy feminine, tailored suits a couple designers come to mind. Rachel Zoe and Anine Bing are two of the first ones I think of. Both of which make incredible quality pieces. However, one suit will run you $500-$700 from designers like this. And while I think it’s totally smart to invest in nice pieces, I also get that some people want to wear the trend for a season and move on. So, I made it my mission to find a couple, more affordable options for suits that are still nice quality and have good fits. The two you’ll see below both fit TTS and are comfy, chic and work fabulously as separates!
This first suit is a light pink, linen suit from Asos. Linen is the perfect fabric for spring and summer because it’s breathable. Even though this is a pant suit, I could easily wear this in the summer for a dinner or meeting because of how light weight it is. Also, pastels are having a serious moment right now. It’s a two-in-one! The first way I styled it was to wear the whole thing together and I thought I’d dress it up to show you that linen can be dressy. Add some metallic touches and heels and you’ve got yourself a perfect outfit going from work to happy hour in those warm summer nights.
The second way I styled this was with a denim jacket and kicks for an ultra, cool-girl look fit for Abbot Kinney or the farmers market.
For this next suit, I chose the shorts option as opposed to the pants. (They have both!) It’s not as breathable as the linen and I wanted to be able to wear this in the spring and summer. The shorts are also a fun option for a suit. I’m obsessed with the pattern and the blazer has an amazing shape to it.
