Hello darlings!
Happy Sunday 🙂 It is officially holiday party time. We’ve been to 3 so far and have 2 more next weekend. And while we’re not hosting one this year (sad face) I thought it would be nice to share some of my favorite cocktail recipes! This one here is a long time favorite of mine. When I lived in New York, I worked at this amazing Italian place in Hell’s Kitchen called Vice Versa. True, authentic Italian dishes. The owners are the best! Stefano is the head chef, and Franco is the business/people side of it. It’s been open for like, 14 years? Any restaurant that can stay open that long in New York, is a great one. They have this butternut squash ravioli….my mouth is literally watering as I write this, it is so good.
Anyhow, they also happen to have wonderful cocktails! This ginger pear martini I’m sharing with you is my take on a drink they have. Mainly because I don’t know exactly what they put in there…but this is close! ha It has the light and fruity pear flavor that we all love and a kick of ginger. Absolutely delicious! Feel free to adjust to taste of course. By the time I found the perfect balance I was definitely feeling the buzz…which only makes cocktail experimenting more fun!
Ginger Pear Martini
Ingredients:
- 2 oz pear infused vodka
- 2 oz ginger liqueur
- 1 oz simple syrup
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- ice for shaking
Directions:
- Put ice in cocktail shaker, add all ingredients and shake well. Shake it, shake it!
- Pour into a martini glass. If you want to add a garnish, a lemon twist or candied ginger makes a great one 🙂
There you have it, darlings. Simple martini recipe that is sure to please. Even if you just have your girlfriends over for a night and make these with them while you wear face masks and dance around the kitchen, do it! It’d make a great girls night.
Let me know what you think?
