Okay my loves, this is a long overdue post. I know, I should’ve posted this like 8 months ago. But ya know what? It gave me more time to see if I really needed all those things! Let me tell you, I definitely did not need several of the things I registered for. I’m not gonna go down the list and say all the things I didn’t like because truly, every baby is different and will like different things. Instead I’m going to list out baby registry must haves for first time moms. I’m showing the items that we could not have lived without those first few months and things that Charlie is still using now.
Baby Registry Must Haves for First Time Moms
We don’t have this exact diaper bag (ours is old from Pottery Barn) however the one that I linked looks awesome. It has compartments to hold bottles and has a strap on the back to be attached to luggage. The diaper bag comes in blue and pink.
We didn’t go with the SNOO for our own reasons but really loved the one linked above. It’s so lightweight making it easy to carry between rooms, folds basically completely flat for easy storage after/between babies, has mesh sides making it breathable/allow air flow and makes it so you can see through it a bit. Make sure to buy the fitted sheet for it! It does not come with the sheet.
We love the monitor that I linked! To be honest we only used the breath tracking for the first 6 months and then stopped using that feature but we love the quality of the camera, the ease of it being on your phone (no extra thing you have to carry around the house and try not to lose) and the features it has.
The sage green swaddle (and hat set) is the best swaddle I tried. I really didn’t like the muslin ones even though I know, they’re the most popular. I found them hard to get tight enough without making me feel bad about it if that makes sense? The green one I linked (comes in a ton of colors and some cute prints) has this wonderful stretch to it that makes it easy to get it nice and tight without feeling like you’re completely restricting them.
Obviously you’ll need things like diapers and wipes galore but I figured that went without me saying or linking.
