I have been so excited to share our nursery reveal with you!! The only thing you may have seen on my instagram is the crib and dresser when I first got it in. 🙂 A LOT has changed….
Nursery Reveal
Not gonna lie- I have dealt with so much delivery drama from Pottery Barn Kids. The pandemic has really delayed furniture deliveries. I’m going to link the items for you below with the disclaimer that the delivery for some items could be a headache. For Pottery Barn Kids I recommend ordering earlier than you think you should. I started ordering at 27 weeks, but I would recommend starting your order from PBK (and reeeaaaalllllyyyy pay attention to if it says things are backordered and just avoid ordering backordered items) at 24 weeks. I still have not received a changing pad that I ordered a month and half ago from them. When I called, they said they had plenty in stock and not sure what the hold up was. Luckily, we have a cousin that came in to save the day and gave us her changing pad which was the same one we had ordered!
Back to the cuteness 😍
Hubby really let me take the reins on the design of this and let me pick everything out. He doesn’t like to choose between endless options but he loves to look at the big picture and see the details together. So I created a Pinterest board with all the stuff you see here and showed it to him. I recommend doing that for your partner if they too don’t like looking at tons of options.
I went with a neutral and classy safari themed nursery. I used animals as decor and the soft eucalyptus printed wallpaper was the icing on the cake in my opinion! I wanted it to feel cozy and cute without feeling overly “kiddish” or tacky.
I found a some great items on Etsy and tried to incorporate family pieces wherever I could. The bronze shoes (seen below) were Joey’s when he was a baby. The Disney bus lunchbox was my dads and then mine when I was a kid and the round thing you see in the corner on the right side of the shelf is a musical box from my grandma. I love that they will be apart of our sons room. 🙂 The photo wall is one of my favorite features in the room. Especially because most of our family lives far away and with covid, we have no idea when our son will meet his family. It’s extra special for that reason. ❤️

I had so much fun putting this room together and really love how it came out. I sometimes stand in the doorway and look in and feel so much inner peace. I also sit in the glider and do work or read a book. I love this room so much. ♥️
p.s.- The wallpaper is the prepasted removable smooth wallpaper from Spoonflower and can be found HERE. xx
