Hello darlings,
Cannot believe that it is already the 4th of July! This year has flown by. As the holiday weekend approaches, so does a lot of activities! Whether you’re hosting a bbq for some friends, going to a bbq with some friends, heading to the beach or just staying in with the family- desserts are always a welcomed addition. This year, the holiday weekend may look different for some of us, depending where we are and what our comfort levels are withe Covid-19. But even a socially distant bbq with a few of your closest friends deserves some sweetness. Look no more! I’ve rounded up my top 6 desserts that are perfect for any occasion you may have. There are some no-bake options in here if you’re looking for something that won’t require you to use the oven.
6 Desserts to Make This Weekend
First up, my blueberry crumble.
This dessert is so quick, so easy and is always a crowd pleaser! It’s best served warm with some ice cream on top but can definitely hold it’s own without the ice cream!
Second, the best lemon bars.
The tart, sweet and creamy lemon filling atop a slightly chewy shortbread crust is really hard to beat. My husbands favorite and a recipe my grandma passed down to me.
Third on the list, No-Bake Turtle Cheesecake.
This decadent caramel cheesecake filling sits atop a buttery oreo crust for true dessert perfection. Will definitely have this one on repeat throughout the summer!
Fourth, Strawberry Peach Cobbler.
A classic American dessert filled with summer fruits! Best served a la mode.
Fifth on the list, No-Bake Key Lime Cheesecake.
Another fantastic no-bake dessert option! A creamy and tangy key lime cheesecake atop a classic graham cracker crust. I love it topped with whipped cream and fresh lime slices.
Coming in last but certainly not least, number six on the list, Classic Banana Pudding with Salted Caramel Sauce.
A creamy, sweet, banana pudding with cake-like vanilla wafers, sliced bananas, and topped with the best salted caramel sauce. A true salty and sweet moment that is perfection.
There you have it. Six desserts to make this weekend for whatever your holiday weekend has in store for you. As always, be sure to tag me @HonestDarling.
