We all know that finding a sunscreen for your face that doesn’t break you out is tricky. At least, if you’re like me. And according to my Instagram DM’s, you guys have similar skin issues to mine. So, I figured I’d share with you my top 3 SPF’s that won’t break you out and a new one that I’m going to try. Below are all honest reviews of each product, all of which I recommend but definitely read the pros and cons of each. Now, the perk of a mineral sunscreen is that it’s been proven to better block sun rays and it’s not filled with fillers and chemicals. Remember, anything you put on your skin is absorbed into your system. So be clean and green whenever possible! All of these sunscreens are mineral based!
- Peter Thomas Roth Instant Mineral Powder with 45 SPF. This stuff is awesome! It’s a brush on powder which means super easy reapplication throughout the day. They have one for normal skin and one for oily skin so there’s something for everyone. The only con with this one is that it if you get a lot of the mineral powder out, it can be a little chalky on your face. But that easily goes away with light brushing of your fingertips! Just make sure your hands are clean. 🙂 This is my favorite for reapplying.
- Perricone MD No Makeup Foundation Broad Spectrum SPF 30. I wouldn’t consider this a “foundation” like the name says. It’s more of a tinted sunscreen which is perfect if you like minimal coverage and a natural finish. I have combination skin so this can sometimes leave my skin a little oily, especially in my t-zone. But I use those oil absorbing sheets on the reg so I just blot it away. This one isn’t really one you can reapply unless it’s the only thing on your face. You wouldn’t want to rub this in on top of blush. But for beach or pool days, where you want a little coverage and even skin tone, this is great!
- Biossance Squaline + Mineral SPF 45. Obsessed with this one! It’s basically a moisturizer with sunscreen. It acts as a fabulous primer and fully absorbs into skin so you’re not left with any white residue like some sunscreens leave you with. It feels thick as it goes on, in a good way. Plus, it leaves your skin moisturized thanks to the squaline.
- Tarte Tarteguard Mineral Powder Sunscreen SPF 45. I haven’t tried this one but I usually love Tarte products as they’re all hypoallergenic and free of fillers. The reviews on it are really good! So, I’m listing this one as one that I want to try.
I’ve linked these sunscreens for you below! Let me know if you try any and if so, which is your favorite!
