One of the top questions I get from you is: “What lipstick are you wearing?” No secret, I wear lipstick every day. I can’t stand when lips look washed out! Just a little color on them takes me from looking like a zombie to being fresh-faced. If I don’t have a lot of time to get ready or, I’m just feeling lazy, I’ll do my brows, throw on a coat of mascara and pick a lipstick to give my face some color and shape. A good lip liner can also double as a lipstick, which, you’ll see below I have one of those. 🙂 These are my favorite shades that I reach for over and over again. All 5 of them are linked at the bottom so you can add them to your makeup bag!
Hourglass Opaque Rouge Liquid Lip in Icon. (What I’m wearing in the pic above!) It’s the best red with blue undertones which make your teeth look whiter and is overall more flattering on most skin tones than the orange undertones of other reds. Besides the tone, the actual lip paint is great. It’s not at all drying on the lips! Only tip with this one is to let it fully dry before drinking or eating anything. Let it dry, then you can do whatever. This has been a favorite of mine for years!
Bobbi Brown Crushed Lip Color in Babe. The perfect pop of soft pink that’s not too subtle where you can barely see it or too bright where it’s blinding. It’s rosy and just perfect. This is a new shade for me but I’ve been using it for about 4 months now. Love it!
Kylie Jenner Lip Kit in Mary Jo. A girl can never have too many reds. This is a new favorite of mine, within the last year, that has stuck around. The lipliner is phenomenal with zero bleeding so it’s a good one to have and the kit comes with the lipliner and the liquid lipstick. Only thing, the liquid lipstick can be drying so a have a balm you can dab on top.
Marc Jacobs Beauty Le Marc Lip Crème Lipstick in Kiss Kiss Bang Bang 216. A rosy pink that will look good on any skin tone. Another new-ish one for me! Been using for about 6 months.
Yves Saint Laurent Tatouage Couture Liquid Matte Lip Stain in 5 Rosewood Gang. This is a deeper mauve pink that really can take you from day to night. Once of my favorites for the past few years! My favorite part about it is the easy application. Given the shape of the applicator, you can put it on without a mirror! It has a nice corner so you can feel where it’s going without looking. It makes for easy touchups which you will need with this after eating.
